DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 2 (Two) Seth Thomas Marine: (1) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., for U.S. Navy, "Deck Clock No. 2", 8 day, time only, spring-driven balance wheel movement in a brass case with screw-on bezel, 4.5 inch black metal dial with subsidiary seconds, and white spade hands. (2) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., deck or wardroom clock, 8 day, time only, spring-driven movement in a heavy brass case with screw-on bezel, 6 inch silvered dial with center seconds, black steel spade hands.
CONDITION: (1) Brass case is in fair conditon with some of the lacquer starting to form dark spots. Glass is cracked in two. Black dial is dirty and the luminous paint has become very dark. Back of case is stamped by Chelsea. Movement ticks when wound. (2) Brass case is good with a nice patina. Silvered dial is also good with a light amount of tarnish spots on the right side. Movement ticks briskly, but was not tested long term. Dimensions are for the larger of the two clocks. Sold "as is ".
